 | GenghisTheHun (171) 06/04/2007 | If I had to vote, I would have voted for In the Name of the Father; however, that is probably because of my interest in Irish History and the Troubles. I really don't quibble, much, about this choice. It wouldn't do me any good anyhow as it would have been the sentimental favorite of a vast majority of the Academy.

 | alpepper (21) 03/10/2006 | Probably the best movie depiction of the obscenity called the Holocaust. It's a movie that I saw once, but will never want to see again.

 | callitdowntheline75 (58) 03/10/2006 | Perhaps the most effective movie ever filmed, 'Schindler's List' deserves its lofty place in American filmdom as it portrays the horror and tragedy which befelled the European Jews of World War II. This film is nothing short of remarkable, and was a labor of love for all those involved. Along with the fine cinematography, the dual performances of Liam Neeson as Oskar Schindler and Ralph Fiennes as the sadistic commandant was akin to watching masters perform their craft to the hilt. And with the superb directing of Steven Spielberg, this movie only emphasized the importance of how no one must ever forget the horrible tragedy, which was the Holocasut. If anything, nothing else can be said about this film which has not already been said- but to emphasize how significant and magnificent it was.

 | SZinHonshu (44) 03/09/2006 | Just a superior film. Spielberg's growth as a movie maker was really evident with Schindler's List. It was a foreunner/foreshadowing of the types of movies he would make in the future such as Munich and Saving Private Ryan.
