 | Randyman (111) 09/28/2007 | Romeo and Juliet updated, balcony scene included. I'm not a big fan of musicals and get bored easily. The West Side Story was decent enough but overrated in my opinion, and I'm not so sure it deserved an Oscar. The two shining lights in the movie were Rita Moreno, who won an Oscar for best supporting actress, and Natalie Wood.

 | GenghisTheHun (179) 06/04/2007 | This was an extremely weak choice. I think three films were MUCH better: Hustler, Guns of Navarone and Judgment at Nuremberg.
How Westside Story could win over that competition convinces me that the fix was in.
