A thrip is a small, mite like insect that attacks various plants and is particularly fond of asparagus.

But if you eat canned asparagus, you deserve everything you get.

ewwwww no wonder canned asparagus tastes so bad! i never liked it and i only had it once i love it fresh thought but thats YYYYYYYYUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY EWW EWW EWW EWW

Again,thrips are very tiny insects & I'd rather eat a few bugs than get cancer from the pesticide.

I don't know what a "thrip" is. Besides, I'd never eat canned asparagus.
