Besides, they're canned, the process of canning will halt the decomposition.
And besides that, what the hell are you eating canned mushrooms for when there are fresh available.

I suppose may it depends on what we mean by "decomposed," but I just think they should be held to a freshness standard of better than 1 in 10.
Generally speaking, I'm going to try to buy only fresh mushrooms, where I can pick my own.
