Ayurvedic medicine is one of the oldest schools of healthcare on the planet besides Chinese medicine. People need to remember that modern, conventional medicine has only been around for a mere 150 yrs as opposed to medicinal practices, treatments and remedies that have been around for thousands of centuries. To think that these schools of medicine are inferior, primitive or otherwise is naive. Modern medicine does NOT take into consideration that the body is an entity with many different parts that need to function in harmony in order to achieve optimal health. You cannot isolate an illness, disease or body part and try to treat it on it's own. Modern medicine does not "cure"... it basically puts a bandaid on the problem without finding out what the root cause of the problem is. Ayurvedic, Chinese and Homeopathic medicine works on the root cause to bring the body in balance to cure the problem. Using herbs, minerals, flowers, extracts, essences and other remedies from nature is far safer than almost EVERY kind of conventional drug, treatment is far from invasive and stress inducing and brings lasting results with no side effects.
