To a point. I don't agree with anything that proposes to cure everything and anything (which some people do with some medicines; if they start claiming it cures everything from headaches to cancer to sexual impotence, then it's not really worth putting your time into), but there are some level-headed advocates of natural medicines that don't tout anything as a "miracle drug". Of course there are many natural medicines out there; where do you think we got aspirin from (acetylsalicylic acid was extracted from barks and flowers)? Many of our pharmaceuticals are synthesized versions of natural substances, so I find it completely nonsensical that some people refuse to take modern medicines because it's "not natural", and some people refuse to take herbal medicines because it's "bulls@#t". It's the SAME stuff, just in different concentrations. Me? I'll take the pill form, just because it tends to be in a more conentrated form, but I'm not going to discount the idea that the plant can do the same thing.
