03/13/2007 | Immensely important figure in world history. From my cynical and world weary viewpoint, he, together with figures like Abraham, Mohammed, and Jesus are the real deal, largely on the basis of the effect they had.

03/13/2006 | I'm not a Buddhist, but from an OBJECTIVE standing there are four names on this list who undoubtedly rank, at the very, very worst, as 4 of the, I would guess, top 7 most influential people in history: Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, and Moses. All 4 are 5 star figures. Buddha may not be a prophet to you, but there should be no doubt that he's a prophet to hundreds of millions of people over the last 2 and a half thousand years, and there is much that he said that was extremely praiseworthy and incredibly thoughtful.
