They were my pick on my bracket sheet to win it all. But incredibly, I still won the pool (out of 60 people). No one in contention picked any one of the existing teams to win it all. I was lucky to pick UCLA to be one of the Final 4 teams. Connecticut had the most talented players of anyone. But that does not that they were the best team. Take George Mason: All-senior starting line-up, All Maryland players who knew each other for years (and played against Rud Gay when he was a Maryland schoolboy,), and more emotional.

This team's biggest problem is they know they have talent. I've never rooted against a team I had in the final four in all of my brackets the way I have against the Huskies throughout this tournament. If I was Calhoun, I would feel gipped. As a college coach you expect more heart than what this team showed at any point this season. Good for Will Thomas. He absolutely had his way in GMU's win over UConn. He is 8-0 against Rudy Gay. There's a story for your grandkids, Will!

I would have to agree with TB 303. UConn is the best all around team in the country. If they are in their A game, there ain't no chance to stop the Huskies. Speaking of Huskies, Washington better watch out! UPDATE: UCONN SUCKS! THEY NUKED MY BRACKET!

best all around team. Would beat most nba teams when they are clicking at full speed.

My pick to win it all. So strong inside on the boards and strong penetrators along with a good perimeter game. Has the best complete package of any team and will be very tough to beat.

Out by my Tar Heels in a close game. They won't stop Hansborough and they'll fall in a tight one.

The day that Villanova beat UCONN, I decided that Connecticut was the best team. Nova had to play perfect, ferocious basketball - and shoot the lights out - to beat this team. I walked away with the feeling that the Huskies are just too talented to lose when it matters. Their talent level is ridiculous. Without Rudy Gay, I think they would be the favorite to win it all. With the projected #1 pick in next year's NBA draft, they are fearsome. The ONLY way this team goes down is if their point guard Marcus Williams gets hurt or gets in foul trouble. They are a lock for the final four - especially with their gift of a draw (Tennessee wouldn't be a top four team in the big east.)

UConn could see some tough teams in their bracket like UNC and Illinois, but I think the Huskies will be able to advance to the Final Four. They have been the best team all year long, despite Duke being on top of the polls. They are probably the deepest team in the tournament, and have possibly the best collegiate player in Rudy Gay. Gay is a top 3 pick in the NBA draft, and could be scoring like Reddick and Morrison if his team wasn't so talented around him.
