You know what I like the most about this team being in the Final 4...they are NOT in the ACC or Big Ten. What is the big deal about the ACC anyway, you would think that everybody in the country went to an ACC school or root for such, or that everybody has attended or roots for a big name school...I have known enough people that are alumni of smaller or lesser name universities. GM gets my sympathy vote.

On their UCONN win: I love Tony Skinn. He plays with more desire and tenacity than the entire Husky team combined. I hope he's remembered more for his fine tournament play than for the low blow in the Hofstra game. Slip-ups are bound to happen when someone plays with fire the way Skinn does. It's clear he's a good kid who just likes to win. Original comment: There has to be a bracket-buster every year, and I'm glad it's this plucky young team. There were a couple of great shots of the GMU bench in the waning minutes of their win against UNC - their faces said: don't wake me up.

The rich kids from Fairfax are dancing in the streets. First Tony Skinn gets suspended for punching someone in the stones; then he comes back in time to kick UNC square in the stones. Like the Missouri Valley Conference, the Colonial Athletic Association is one tough Mid-Major. UNC-Wilmington had GWU dead and Hofstra (should have got a bid as they beat GMU TWICE) and Old Dominion are doing well in the NIT. GMU can beat Bradley (playing in DC will be heck of a home court advantage). But UConn will be a tall order.

Would have had a higher seed if they didn't lose to Hofstra twice in 10 days to end their season. They will be without Tony Skinn, who is their infamous nut puncher, and that won't help them with a talented Michigan State squad in the first round.
