A little too much inexperience, when end their run in the 16.

They have come on strong the 2nd half of the seaon and will make it to the great 8. They are not ready to get by UConn.

They're gonna surprise a lot of people with a win over UConn in the Elite Eight, but they won't have quite enough to beat Nova, who will be looking to extract revenge after their loss to UNC by 1 in the Sweet Sixteen last year in one of this year's National Semifinals.

Oh dang! Why should they be in the same bracket as my other favorite team, UConn?

In another bracket I think UNC could be a Final Four team, but I don't think they will beat UConn in the Elite Eight. Despite their youth, the Heels are playing great ball right now. In the ACC Tournament, UNC, BC, and Duke all looked about even, so I see each having the ability to go deep into the tournament. Tyler Hansbrough is a beast, and even if he doesn't lead UNC to the Final Four this year, they should be ready to get their in 2007, with another amazing recruiting class coming in.

Wild card squad. Very talented, as they proved by beating Duke, but very young. Still, in this day and age when the best teenage basketball players spend two years at most on college campuses, UNC could be a darkhorse. They have great coaching and could wind up slipping into a Final 4 that is a more likely goal for them to expect next year. Given the school's record and presence of Roy Williams, I consider a Sweet Sixteen berth to be almost a foregone conclusion.
