The Philly curse hits everyone, Pro teams, college teams, even racehorses. If you are from Philadelphia, you will not win it all. It has been an unfailing axiom for 20+ years. Villanova looked shaky against Boston College. But they were cringeworthy against Florida and got thoroughly waxed. At least St. Joes gave a great effort a couple years ago. Villanova didn't even show up. I will say thay Alan Ray's eye injury may have been a bigger factor than purported to be.

They are that good. The combo of a healthy Ray, my boy Foye, and Kyle Lowry is as good of a tandem as I've seen in college basketball. It's too bad that Sumpter decided to redshirt (a smart move for him nonetheless) because he would have been the missing piece that completed their championship puzzle.

Won't get past the 2nd round unless they get healthy by the end of this week.

Villanova is going all the way. They'll have tough games from the second round on, and could fall to Ohio St., BC, or UNC, but I love their guard play and scrappy style. Randy Foye and Allan Ray are great perimeter players and no one is tougher than Kyle Lowry. Nova for the first time since '85.

I don't like their draw. There's some very dangerous teams in this bracket - Arizona, BC, Florida, GTown, etc. I'm also unnerved by the fact that Allen Ray's eyeball was rolling around the Madison Square Garden's floor a couple of days ago, compliments of Carl Krauser. However, if Allen Ray's eye still works, this team will make a run. They are that good.

Villanova should have an easy time in the first 2 rounds thanks to their #1 seed. However, BC will be a tough test for them in the Sweet Sixteen. After seeing how both of these teams played in their conference, I would say that BC is the better team at this part of the season.
