After yesterday's game against Villanova, I am ashamed of myself that I didn't have the AZ Wildcats getting past the first round of the tourney. It is now clear to me that when they come to play (and none of their players are busy with DUI proceedings), this team can do it all and can hang with the best teams in the country.

Arizona played a heck of a game today. They left it all on the court against Villanova, and it took one of Nova's better games and a home crowd to hold them off. This is a heck of a team (I don't care what their record is), and they played their hearts out today. I think they would have beaten just about anyone else in the field today.

Arizona doesn't have the type of seed they normally do, and have some tough matchups right away. I don't see Arizona staying around.

Quite a turnaround for Lute Olson and Co. If you had seen them play at Pauley Pavilion (UCLA) in January when I did, you wouldn't have believed they would be going to The Dance in March. They got hammered because they had little interior defense. Well, Arizona has a winning program and it will be interesting to see which team shows up. The one mired in a losing streak at the beginning of this year or the one that turned it around to the degree that it qualified for the NCAA Tournament.
