03/27/2007 | A good to very good pop/rock album but not a great one. I suspect its success was largely due to good record company marketing and tireless touring by the Meat. Still it did produce at least one song for the ages. Paradise by the Dashboard Lights is a masterpiece of schlock, and I mean that in the best possible way.

03/26/2007 | This album sucks! Meat Loaf sucks! Jim Steinman sucks! Why people think that Meat Loaf is such a great talent is beyond me. Maybe the initial noteriety of some sweaty 300 pound guy onstage with a serious look on his face was the "hook", I dunno. The music on this album sounds like it was written for a halfassed MGM rock musical. "Paradise By The Dashboard Light?". Give me a break! What a load of crap! This stuff just doesn't rock, sorry.
