09/27/2006 |  We are going through this now. My husband worked for his place for over 20 years. and a few weeks ago they announce they are closing the warehouse and only keeping one open that is 2 hours away. there is noway we can afford to move. for many reasons. one being this is a very short notice. it has been very upsetting to our whole family. by next week he will be done. not only that his work still can not give answers to what will happen with unemployment, and severences.so we are left hanging. with no answers. it has been very distressing to us. emotionally, physically, etc. he is already looking for work but so are thousands of other people. We live in Michigan and his work had to do with the car industry which used to be big here. but now with jobs going to Mexico and other lower paying countries. it has been very hurtful to the employees here in Michigan. We do not know what will happen to us.this also means no health insurance and there is no way we can pay for through places like "cobra" that charge way more than we can afford. sorry to ramble. but this has been a tough time for us.so keep your fingers crossed for us will you all?
