Was created by The Rolling Stones, in an Effort to recreate Woodstock '69. It had a great list of Bands at the time including Santana, Jefferson Airplane, The Grateful Dead and others who I've forgotten. It was a Nice idea, but like many Good intentions, it soured. For some reason, The Stones picked the Hells Angels to Police the Event. Reportedly, they agreed to do security in exchange for Beer. Many fights broke out Among concert-goers and among the audience and the Hells Angels. Four People died, the most famous death was that of Merideth Hunter, which was caught on tape. A few Others were run over by Cars as they slept. What was supposed to be Woodstock '69 in reality foreshadowed Woodstock '99.This event is said to have Marked the end of the 60's, but in all fairness, it Did take place December 1969. So I think that's cheating a little.
