08/30/2007 | Prefer mine with vodka...I really like the dirty maytag.....with the blue cheese stuffed olives. I make them at home because these things are dangerous....they have a delayed reaction and will hit you while you are driving home!

Only in the extra dry version, of course.

11/30/2006 | A proper martini is made with gin. A vodka martini is made with...obviously, vodka. There is a difference! Anyhow, this is about as classic, in the most literal and metaphoric sense of the word, cocktail of all time. It can only be enjoyed properly with high quality spirits. The flavor and character of the drink is very versatile, yet subtle. By adding more or less vermouth, and adding a twist versus an olive can change the flavor dramically. All and all a great drink. Fans of sweet and fruity drinks be warned, this is DEFINATELY not for you.
