 | edt4 (99) 08/31/2007 | I don't have them often, but when I go to a brunch (I enjoy a good brunch and occasionally will make the effort to get up early Sunday morning and indulge, against Anthony Bourdain's advice), it always seems to be the specialty of the house. Not that this is a burden; when I have them, I enjoy them. One is enough for me...it hits the spot, and I don't feel any temptation to have another, and yet another...consequently, I don't feel sick or wrung-out later on. A Bloody Mary or an Irish Coffee are really the only alcoholic drinks (outside of an occasional glass of red wine) I occasionally allow myself. A far cry from that dark period of my life where I was waking up nearly every morning hung-over from Boilermakers, pills, and whatever else I was able to get my hands on.

Following this logic, you can drink several dozen at one sitting without any effect.

 | trebon1038 (62) 08/30/2007 | Y'know, as much as I like my vodka and feel it goes with anything....I really prefer my tomato juice solo.....now orange juice or grapefruit juice, thats another story....throw in the vodka.

 | magellan (153) 08/30/2007 | A good bloody can be the nectar of the gods. The vitamins and alcohol bring you back, and throw a few pickled vegetables in there and I'm a happy camper. If you ever go to San Francisco, you must try a Zeitgeist Bloody Mary.
