A complicated man, with complicated lyrics, playing very simple music.

 | Djahuti (54) 03/26/2006 | An excellent live album recorded at Folsom Prison by the late, great Johnny Cash.It opens, naturally with "Folsom Prison Blues" and "Dark as a Dungeon".Cash had been locked up once or twice and had real empathy for the audience. There's a great rendition of "Cocaine Blues" and "25 Minutes to Go" ,also very appropriate to this performance.Side two closes with a haunting version of "Long Black Veil".Side two opens with "Send a picture of Mother" and has several humerous numbers like "Dirty Old Egg Sucking Dog" and "Flushed From the Bathroom of your Heart" (probably my favorite "breakup" tune !).There's a toe tappin "Jackson" with his wife June, and she also joins him on "Give My Love to Rose".He ends the show masterfully with "I got Stripes","Green,Green Grass of Home" and "Greystone Chapel".
