Odds on favorite to win it my mind because of their excellent starting pitching. They are deep from 1 to 5 in their staff, and after August those are the keys to making a serious run.

Not much has changed about this team. For once, we don't witness a championship team instantly dismantle. Re signing Konerko was huge. Kudos to Ken Williams and Jerry Reinsdorf.

I wouldn't bet against a successful defense. Still a lot of sharp tools in this shed.

I agree with 'zuchinibut.' This team actually got better, especially if Thome can get back to something approaching his pre 2005 form, though he's getting up there a little bit. Good defensive team with some pop, and having workhorses and talents like Buehrle, Freddy Garcia, et al in the rotation is a bonus. Have a pretty good shot at repeating.

I know its hard to get to back to back World Series, but I think the White Sox have the best team coming back in the AL. Their pitching staff has stayed intact, and can be counted on almost every day for a quality start. I like the addition of Alex Cintron to their infield, and getting Paul Konerko to stay in Chicago was a big deal. If the White Sox can stay healthy, I think they should be in a great position again to get back to the playoffs.
