I don't like their chances. I think the Tigers have a decent shot to pass them in the standings this year. With Jones gone, the offense is stale. The pitching will have to carry them through, but Santana can only pitch every 5th day.

The Twins still have Cy Young winner Johan Santana and a couple of other decent pitchers like Joe Nathan, Brad Radke, and Carlos Silva. However, there offense just doesn't look that powerful. They are a decent defensive team, but I can't see them scoring enough runs over the course of a whole season to compete for a playoff spot.

Santana is a very fine pitcher, and they have some other good players, but pick a cliche: the boat has sailed already or the bird has flown. Probably third in the A.L. Central this year, maybe even 4th.
