Two years away from the playoffs, at least. If they stick to their plan of letting their young talent develop, they may get to that point.

This ballclub has promising young stars and talent, but they'll finish third in the division. Hiring Leyland was definitely a step in the right direction though.

Detroit made major improvements last year after several completely awful seasons. I think they will keep themselves in the AL Central race for a while, before ultimately falling off at the end of the year. Look for Jeremy Bonderman to have a breakout year.

My guess is probably 4th, but could get as high as 3rd. Awkward looking team: some parts fit, some don't. Should be better than last year, and maybe Leyland can make a difference, but they're probably at least a couple of years away from serious contention, and some of their moves over the past few years have been rather bizarre in my view.
