Seattle Mariners 3

I think they will be back in the hunt soon. They don't really have pitching, and Moyer is past his prime. They do have a lot of offensive weapons and young talent like Felix Hernandez and should contend in a couple of years.

The only way this team makes the Series is if God drops everything else for the season to concentrate on helping out. They have about three real players. No point in booking post season travel plans in the Emerald City.

They have legitimate lead off and cleanup hitters with Ichiro and Sexson, but there really isn't too much other talent in their lineup. Their pitching is decent but not great. I think they will finish as one of the bottom two in their division.

For a last place team they will be pretty competive. They will go through this season rough around the edges but next season they'll be back in gear.

1.5, have a few good players, such as Suzuki, Sexson, and Beltre, who should be better after a year in the A.L., but there isn't much else on offense and the pitching is not good overall, though Guardado is a pretty good closer and Felix Hernandez is arguably the best pitching prospect out there. Have a lot of work to do to get back to the top level of teams, and will probably be the choice for last place in their division.
