There is only one true LA baseball team and that is the Dodgers.

Playoffs is most likely but going beyond is another matter. Can their starters be strong enough and will their pen hold in October. Those are the question marks.

Should win the division. They have Cy Young winner Bartolo Colon and a good offense. I think the only thing is question is the rest of the rotation.

The Angels are like the Phoenix Suns or Indiana Pacers in the NBA. They always have quality players and are competitive. I don't think this is their year but don't count them out. Now that this idiotic name thing has been settled, Artie Moreno can concentrate on the ballclub itself.

The Angels comfortably won their division last year, and I see no reason why they can't do that again in 2006. They have a good blend of youth and veterans, and they have a dominant pitcher in Bartolo Colon and a great bullpen. If they get another big season out of Vlad Guerrero, then they should definitely find themselves in the playoffs once again.

3.5, probably the front runner to win the A.L. West, though I predict a dogfight with the A's. Lost a little starting pitching, and had a rather quiet offseason. Guerrero is a tremendous player, but this fundamentally sound club needs more help for him on offense. They field well, do the little things, and have a fine bullpen and a good manager, but I get the feeling they won't get far in the playoffs if they do make it. A 3.5
