I don't think this team can get by. Not enough offense in a park where pitching usually dominates. Adding Soriano was good, but they need more pitching and offense.

I am glad that this tean has been sprung from Canada. Montreal was a joke as a baseball town.

The pitching is, overall, fairly good, and they have a pretty good bullpen, but I also think that last year was something of a fluke. Even if Soriano winds up staying, they have a well below average offense. Good enough to stay out of last place, chiefly because Florida is so weak, but not better than 4th out of the 5 clubs in their division.

A good team who will fall just short.Good offense with Soriano and pitching is decent as well.

I love watching the wheels fly off of this franchise because all these I've-discovered-baseball-DC-types are getting annoying. . .

I think the Nationals definitely overachieved last year, and they still finished in 4th in the NL East. They might not be awful this year, but I don't think they are much improved. They got Alfonso Soriano over the offseason, but they are making him unhappy because he refuses to play the outfield. Other than him, I don't think they made too many improvement, definitely not enough to lift their level of play to where they can be a legit postseason contender. I'm looking forward to ML baseball finally naming an owner so this franchise can actually make moves to make them competitive.
