I see good things to come with this team, but not now. They have a tough time winning in their home ballpark and the fact that it is a lively yard doesn't help. They're on a higher level than the Rockies though.

Mediocre describes them perfectly. They have a little hitting, a little pitching, but not enough of either. There are some good players, but they also still have some players whose contracts are like albatrosses. There are some truly fine prospects in the organization, but they may need a few years to make real progress. It's a weak division, but it's difficult to say where they'll end up:, they should avoid last place because of the youth and ineptitude of the Rockies though.

The Diamondbacks finished second in the NL West last year, but that was the worst division in baseball by far in 2005. The Diamondbacks have traded off their star players over the last few years, and have a large amount of talented minor leaguers ready to come up and make an impact in the Majors. I think this is a team to look out for in the future, but in 2006 they look to be too young to make it to the playoffs.
