 | abichara (60) 04/25/2006 | This isn't really necessary, but it wouldn't be a negative either if she did know how to cook. I'm trying to learn, and certainly kitchen duties are something that both can share.

 | CanadaSucks (45) 03/28/2006 | Nope. . .I do the cooking. . .it was one of my seduction techniques in college. . .

 | AndrewScott (71) 03/27/2006 | Martha Stewart on all household matters, but Jessica Simpson on all other matters. What's holding up those Stepford microchip designers anyway?
(Guys, we just need to get Hollywood to model the microchips, then all kinds of women would be asking for those implants!)
Alas, the technology is not there. But since it's not too hard for me to order take-out for us both, I guess I'll be happy with dinners for the time being.

 | hotel283 (20) 03/26/2006 | Firstly, I don't "want" anything from a woman, it implies that I would demand things from a woman.
However, if there is a nice quality for a woman to have, being a good cook is sure one of them. The cliche is true, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.

 | minkey (36) 03/25/2006 | Cooking is a learned skill that can be worked on. Take a class, watch the food network, and buy a cookbook. Do the activities as a couple so you can both improve.

 | kamylienne (77) 03/25/2006 | It seems more and more frequently, women are seeking MEN who know how to cook. It's a huge plus, and most women I know are really impressed with guys who can cook.
I don't know many guys who'd dump a girl who can't cook. Sure, it's a bonus, but I don't often hear "Yeah, she was a great girl and all, but it wouldn't work . . . she can't bake worth a !@#$".
Overall, though, I think it's probably good if BOTH parties can cook and take turns.

 | SZinHonshu (44) 03/25/2006 | If a woman can't cook, something is commonly wrong. An inability to prepare meals properly, like an unwillingness to clean house and clothes, is simply unfeminine. Why would I want to marry a guy? Roommates I can have without all the legal complications. Females who don't bring domestic skills to the table are at a serious disadvantage to their competition. Putting something in my stomach on a semi-regular basis is more important than education, looks or sex. The happily married couples I know wherein the wife is incapable of cooking, I can count on the fingers of one hand ... and that's in "progressive" California, too.

 | Djahuti (54) 03/25/2006 | Cooking me a good meal is one of the many ways to my heart-but I'll cook for her, too. One lady and I who lived together happily for years had the perfect arrangement, whoever cooked the other one would do the dishes.I was usually the cook and was glad to get out of the dishwashing. However, another lovely lass I was with made me fall in love all over again with a fine breakfast in bed,and insisted on cleaning up,too. How sweet...Ah,women...I love em when they cook & when they don't!

 | Donovan (130) 03/24/2006 | It's nice and my wife is a wonderful cook but my love is not based on food or anything but her and who she is.

 | Drummond (54) 03/24/2006 | I enjoy my wife's cooking, but I'd be fine doing most of the cooking myself in exchange for consideration in other areas of household responsibilities.

 | souljunkie (20) 03/24/2006 | Like I mentioned on the list page, I talked to a handful of my buddies about this subject. Their responce was very much like zuchinibut, and I agree too because I enjoy cooking myself and I venture to say that Im at least as good a cook as most of the ladies I spent time with in my life. I need to say though, a woman who claims "oh I dont cook" or "I dont cook much at all"...this says a whole lot about a lady and its all negative. I have spent a short time with a few like this and they were all spoiled, lazy, selfish people. They spend money badly (eating out all the time is just part of the trend with these types)and are very high maintenance in general. If your single you might want to steer clear of these types.

 | zuchinibut (36) 03/23/2006 | I like to cook a lot, so I don't need a woman to do this. I know it can be fun to cook with other people, so I would atleast need a woman who was willing to help out or try.
