 | Libertine (0) 01/11/2007 | I bought my Aerbus, used, and it had been rode hard, put away wet. Although it has low miles, (22k,) it had been used, (apparently while parked,) a lot. It seems pretty sturdy, and although it's been a lot of work to try to fix it up, most of the systems seem to be working okay. There's been some issues relating to it's age, (1996) and some things are just worn or broken, I can't complain about the unit too much so far. The problems are the slide motor is weak or the slide is too heavy and it won't open or close on its own, the chassis is a 1995 Ford F-53 Chassis, but the Motorhome claims to be a 1996. I can't find the manufacturers nameplate, and the Rexhall company has been less than helpful. The use of wood in various places, exposed to the elements is something of a surprise in this day and age, and the use of a lot of steel without any sort of paint or primer to protect from rust throughout the underside of the RV is also surprising. However, as I stated earlier, overall it seems to be holding up okay and for me and my families plans to camp, we can only hope the trend continues.
