To be honest, I cannot handle large amounts of stress. That's why I could never, EVER spend my life working as a receptionist or secretary. The stress would be so great that I'd probably collapse and die of a heart attack.

In my expereience the ladies handle stress much differently than men do. We tend to internalize it and those around us just know "somethings going on". Women (in my experience) rarely handle stress well. I read once that this is the reason that women are the majority of tobacco users in this country. (70% of smokers here now are women)They are emotional and everybodys around them will know about thier stress and will feel its wrath in some way. They must handle their stress outwardly constantly by smoking, working out, drinking or something else. We can just have sex and cure it most times! LOL . I guess I did not include this on the list because I dont consider it realistic to think that a woman will do this well. I have never met a woman who does. No offence ladies.

A good thing for both people to be able to do. Relationships can be hard enough; why add in the drama if you can help it? I definitely understand why a man would appreciate this. It's something that I also appreciate from a man in a relationship; nothing is worse than a man who cannot control his emotions during stressful times. That usually leads to arguing or even to violent aggression.

This is another thing I would expect from myself as a woman, the less drama the better. But it is not a one-sided deal. If I can handle it, I hope you can too. I wouldn't expect any more or any less.

Nobody wants a partner who goes into tantrums.I bet this would turn off the ladies,too-if the guy couldn't hold it together through stressful situations.

If you're casually dating, it's a small issue, but if I were looking to get married to a girl I'd pay close attention to how she handled stress. Does she keep her cool, does she blow up, does it trickle into every other aspect of her life? Is she a problem solver, an avoider? Does she accept responsibility, does she point blame? Things are going to happen in a lifetime and I would look for someone who can maintain control.
