03/03/2007 | The real trend is for dubya's apologists to crow about how smart he really is ("he went to Yale" - because of power and influence) and tell us how anyone who dares call him stupid are simply politically motivated (no matter how many business failures. . .no matter how many drug/alcohol moments) and of course, the trend is to always look past his painful use of the language that seems quite acceptable to the trailer-park voting contigent. . .P.C. be damned- our prez is a babbling retard who has been blessed with a highly intelligent father and a bright (if misguided and Machiavellian) group of handlers. . .

03/03/2007 | The Bush family with all its accomplishments over at least three generations of elected office is far from stupid. Only the Roosevelts, Adams, and Harrisons have matched them for getting two family members into the Presidency.

03/03/2007 | I realize that in my angrier moments I've called him an idiot,
but literally it's not true. He's not stupid: his SAT
scores alone (1206) put him at the 87% percentile. By the
standards of the general population he's no dummy: by the
standards we have for the presidency, that's another thing
altogether. Nixon, Clinton, Carter, and a few others were
definitely in the "genius" category, like them or not--and remember,
even "geniuses" can have unbelievably bad judgement.
