12/04/2006 | I own at 2002 330CiC and am very happy with it. I purchased the vehicle used with the BMW CPO warranty on it. I've had a few small issues with the car, of which the CPO warranty covered. Most of these problems are smaller problems, however I had two instances where I needed to take the car into the shop:
1) Broken Fan belt caused sensors to shut down, lost power steering. BMW replaced the fan belt and any damage caused by the belt without any cost to me.
2) Broken O ring caused A/C system to start acting up and caused some vibration while driving. Also found out that one of the tensioners was shreading the belts in the front (which probably caused the first fan belt to break). I was a bit annoyed that BMW didn't fix this the first time around, but they fixed it at no charge.
The car runs just fine now. The moral of the story is that if you are purchasing a used BMW (or any high end german car for that matter) pay a little extra and get the manufaturer warranty.
