an a-5 runs about 215.00$ i know that i paid 200$ for mine and it was used, but it had already been some what customized, it had the response as we, as a tear drop 14'' barrel, it is a really awesome gun, it is unlimited to the things that you can do with it. i know that i put an e-grip on, and i can pump up to 30 balls per second. as well as an expansion chamber, and M4 stock adjustable, red dot. a fore grip helps, as well as a flatline, i have a flatline, but you cannot shoot cheap paint, or you will pop balls. i also have upgraded all of the internals. power tube, bolt, and all knew cyclone parts, i need to adjust my volocity before we play again, but i have gotten so many kills with it that i am still amazed. if you are going to get a gun get a tippman, whether it be an x7 or an a5. check out specialopspaintball.com for more ideas. they have reviews on all of the guns. as well as parts if price is a concern, you might want to try a 98custom, they are cheaper, and you can add on when you have the money including the cyclone feed and the flatline barrel system.

A-5 is a good scenero marker made by Tippman Sports. Has a fantastic rate of fire and excellent feed system with the cyclone feed. Draw back to the feed system is that it utilizes air (or CO2) pressure to function, this utilizes air/CO2 from your same supply used to fire the paint. Flatline barrel is good, but BT Paintball's Apex is much better barrel. Flatline is set as to amount of backspin on the ball making it "rough" on lower grade paint, while Apex allows for user to adjust while playing.

The Tippmann A-5 is a sick gun. Very comfortable and light. Great for long and close combat.
