Just make sure its today's edition. Nothing says dumb-ass like carrying last Tuesday's paper.

Change this to NY Times and you might be on to something...

If you hold it you might at least read it, then you may just learn how smart you are NOT.

Don't agree with this one and people in general need an outlet to balance their personalities so a trip to the opposite end of their intelligence would most probably be something a little more light for entertainment.

Better yet, make a bunch of money. Most folks think you're pretty smart when you know how to do that.

Then again, the Journal is a well-written paper despite the philosophical differences I have with it. . .

I have to agree that everyone Ive ever known more than just an aquaintance who commonly referred to this publication or carries it around was just plain ole pretentious! Not smart. I do know that the demographic for those who prescribe may have a financial portfolio that i dont dream of now. That still does not make you smarter than the average smart Joe.

Why not just carry your book collection around - or maybe select a different yet very impressive title each day. You could vary it with the Wall Street Journal from time to time, but adding the books will throw people off your scheme to impress and make them notice your sense of diversity at the same time. Don't forget those attitude glasses, your pipe and be sure to extend your pinkie when you turn the pages and sip your tea. Hey, it may not turn out the way you want it to, but your telemarketing colleagues will have a great time discussing your issues on breaks.
