I always enjoy watching this flick with Duvall playing Frank Harlan, a land baron, who is trying to kill a Hispanic proto-politician, John Saxon, in territorial New Mexico in the 19th Century. Saxon is trying to get land reform for the poor local peasants being dispossessed of their lands. Throw in Clint Eastwood, who as Joe Kidd, a tracker and hunter, Harlan tries to hire to help kill Saxon's character, and you have a nice oater. It has some great scenes. The train engine running into the bar, the stew pot scene in the jail, the shotgun through the swinging doors, Clint using the sniper rifle, and many more.
