If you can buy in to the story line, you will enjoy this film as a character study. Duvall and James Earl Jones together in one film shouldn't be missed. There are scenes that you may find yourself rewinding, just to take in what is happening on the screen. I would suggest renting or purchasing this film, and skipping any television broadcasts, due to the fact that there is some very raw, honest dialogue that is very important to the dramatic impact, that is edited out of the TV versions that I have seen.
