Some people do this without realizing it; it has nothing to do with being smart. Now if this is why you do it then you need a lot more than little fingers to impress the rich and famous (as if that should be important to you in the first place).

While you do so, be sure to throw in little quips like "jolly good" and "pip pip" for good measure. British people do this all the time because they are pompous.
