06/28/2007 | Millions of people do "get it." Tough guys in tough cars that go pretty fast. With the right setup, strategy, and a little luck you might wind up winning. To the detractors who think its easy and really just a bunch of left turns, why aren't you the champion?

06/27/2007 | There are forms of racing I find interesting- Formula1, GT, etc. This? Someone help me here. Screaming rednecks by the tens of thousands who can be heard over the roar of the motors (and smelled over the fumes), all anticipating a wreck while guzzling Bud Light and watching cars go ROUND AND ROUND an oval. I don't get it.

06/27/2007 | NASCAR is interesting if I can catch a road race. The ovals just don't do it for me. I like the strategy individual drivers employ to try to get across the finish line first. A road course provides a more interesting battlefield. An oval requires driving skill and endurance but the event is monotonous to me.
I'm a big fan of race engineering and therefore find Formula 1 a lot more exciting. I think that the limitations placed on NASCAR teams prevent improvement in vehicle design as well as stifling creative engineering. I think that the purpose of racing is to advance automotive technology as well as provide an exciting experience. Therefore, I like to see regulations that give engineers freedom to come up with unique solutions as opposed to regulations that require engineers to build an archetype vehicle.
