11/14/2005 | I'll say this about this category: you can't rate the TYPE of gun and come up w/ a best/worst list. Each firearm serves a specific purpose, and it's that purpose that makes them unique. This rating system should be categorized into the types (pistol, rifle, shotgun, etc) and THEN we should vote on the manufacturer's models in each category.
A sniper rifle, to me, is a long gun decked out for accuracy at longer distances. For those hunters out there, this would be a good thing.
For me, the cost of such an accurate rifle just for target shooting isn't worth it in my book. For those who can afford them, I'm jealous. For those who use them in the military, keep up the good work!!
My vote of 5 stars indicated the accuracy of the sniper rifle category.
