08/15/2004 | There seems to be confusion as to what the term gun means, but presumably it refers to an infantry weapon (pistol, rifle, submachinegun, carbine, etc.). Not the biggest kiler on the battlefield - that record goes to artillery. Pistols are a complete waste - they account for a miniscule portion of combat fatalities.
