wish i could rate in the negative!!! this company doesnt trap you with diconnect fees, sure, but when the time comes to disconnect good luck. i was moving out of town and was completely unable to get through to the disconnect department. the first time i called i waited on hold 37 mins. the second time i called 50+ min wait time, no person. the third and final time i called after they called me with hate messages about late bills, a 48 min wait time finally a person on the other end of the phone, but dont even try to get your point across they wont understand. this company must employ idiots because a simple disconnect should be easy if you have left the area... but all they wanted to know was WHY i am disconnecting, mind you i have already told this person i have moved out of the area. try explaining that in any better way. also not to mention if you value sleep stay away from this "alarm clock company" they happen to offer a service they sell to the public as a wonderful thing called... I have moved around the country for over 30 years and had many different cable providers. The very worst hands down is Cablevision! Their picture quality is terrible, inconsistent and the service is even up and down yet they do nothing to improve it. They also just changed "packages" without any notification and to keep what we'd had (which was pretty basic, the most exotic being the History Channel) we had to go up $15 a month PLUS get thier "box" installed, another $5 per set. The USA stinks in the management (or lack of) of cable systems. What competition? Satellite? We need competition within the Cable business in all areas.. the local provider should be forced to provide competitive cable systems over thier lines, Like AT&T; did and the Bell Companies. They have a local monopoly and the only cable in the ground. So we're screwed!

CABLEVISION SUCKS!!!! I moved and try since two weeks to get my service transfered. They made me wait two Saturdays and one Sunday already and nobody showed up! They did give me a credit on my account for my inconvinient but I still can't watch TV. Now I have to wait another two weeks till they have a new appointment available.

Apart from finding out that we were being charged for Disney on Demand when we never ordered it (we don't even have kids) they not only refused to reimburse the money or credit our account, but twice I was told that a Supervisor would return my call and they did not (given a weeks time to call back). I strongly urge you to choose whatever the other option is in your area.
