This is the movie that made John Wayne and drew the attention of John Ford. Ford discovered that the Duke could act, and the Duke's presence on the screen was tremendous. After that, the great Ford-Wayne partnership blossomed.

A black and white classic. The first big film for John Wayne and one which proved he could act. Great cast, story, and film quality.
