Howard Hawks directed. John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, Angie Dickinson, Walter Brennan and others star in a marvelous oater! The know-it-all critics panned it at the time, and now it's considered a classic. Dino and Ricky even croon a couple of tunes!   Walter Brennan was  his cranky best.

John Wayne was great as sheriff John T. Chance and when you add in Dean Martin as the drunkard "dude" it made for a great film.

My favorite Duke film. Very entertaining, lots of fun, and a great mix of characters. Legitimately should be listed on any list of top five Westerns.
