have not seen too many John Wayne movies all the way through. My dad was a big fan of John Wayne. McLintock! was pretty good. it was a mixture of comedy, western bit of drama. he worked with Maureen O'hara. the two have worked together many times and work well together. they made good "sparring partners" she was his ex wife back in town to see their daughter. there was a famous "spanking scene" involving the two actors. not a big western movie but the comedy part of this made it a good one to watch.

This is one of my favorites since it is so politically incorrect.  If you are familiar with Taming of the Shrew, and you have seen this movie, you will know what I mean!

Excellent western with Maureen O'Hara. Look for a restored "Batjack" version. A fun family western

Lightweight, entertaining, moderately funny western comedy.

Watching it makes one wish Wayne had done more comedy.
