I found Wayne's second movie as Rooster Cogburn much more enjoyable than the first (True Grit). Mostly because now instead of the incredibly annoying Mattie Ross character, we now get Katherine Hepburn instead.  The storyline is not nearly as involved, but the acting is much better.
