A great movie. The fact that he was dying of cancer gave "The Shootist" a much more serious tone than was usually found in John Wayne movies.

Shootist, The (1976) 5

Duke's valedictory and one that applied to him personally. In the film the Duke finds he is dying of cancer and makes arrangements in Carson City, Nevada, to meet his fate. Ron Howard was a good second banana in this flick.
