03/07/2007 | McKenna's Gold has always been a guilty pleasure with me. I don't know if Julie Newmar's nude swimming scene had anything to do with it or not.
Marshal McKenna is kidnapped by an outlaw gang with a great case of characters, lead by Omar Sharif, head outlaw, because the outlaw thinks that McKenna has the map to a lost Apache gold lode of unthinkable riches.
The townspeople also got wind of the gold and they, under their leader, Eli Wallach, want in on finding the El Dorado.
The U. S. Cavalry, under the commanded of Telly Savalas is snooping around trying to catch lawbreakers, and others, and the Indians are on the warpath trying to stop the whole thing, or are they?
It all adds up to a great yarn worth watching.
