Why would Leonardo omit placing John, the disciple most loved by Jesus Christ, the author of one of the Gospel, of several letters and the great Book of Revelation in his depiction of the Last Supper? well, he did not. John is there or the painting would not be accurate. Would Leonardo purposefully make such a mistake in order to give Dan Brown an excuse to write his delusional book?

Of course they would.

Leonardo and other artists of the era wouldn't have any qualms about it at all.
