The link to the most recent reviews isn't really new, so the feature as a redesign suffers in my rating in relation other items on this list (especially the truly new bells & whistles). If memory serves, there was always such a link on the RIA home page, but perhaps this wasn't an option on the previous profile pages. If my recall is correct, then adding the link to the profiles is a definite improvement since I tend to navigate this site from my profile. Other comments note that glancing at the most recent reviews may bring other lists to one's attention, but I usually discover new lists via my trusted network reviews already showing on my profile. I have noticed that the most recent review listing still has the old format showing already expanded comments and the ability to quick click helpful and unhelpful (a format that I very much prefer since the entire review can be read without clicking a "full comment" link).

Put it this way, I dont see anything wrong with this change. I like this change because as some have commented, you can see the hottest topics, and maybe even see your favourite reviewers write or whether they are on RIA at the moment. A convenient function.

I like being able to read the latest comments to see what is at least a hot topic at the moment. Unfortunately, most of the hot topics are stuff I do not know enough about to comment on myself.

I think this is a change for the better because now the recent comments show up in real-time instead of the delay that you had in the old format. And the location of the link on the user-pages lends it easier accessability, which is good.

This is cool. I log onto rateitall for 1 of 2 reasons. 1) To talk about a specific topic/topics that have been on my head during the day. 2) To browse around and see what's going on. #1 is clear cut - I'm definetely rating something. #2 is more hit-or-miss. If I see a featured list that interests me, I'll start rating. Otherwise I might check on my user page and then sign off. Seeing the recent reviews gives my eye one more option to rate, and this is key because rateitall is sort of like a potato chip. Once you rate one list item you start rating a few more.
