I don't personally use it but my DH does. He likes deep fried shrimp, fried fish and hushpuppies. He also like to experiment with it. His last effort was wrapping won ton wrappers around a hot tamale and deep frying it. His brother thought it was good but then he comes from the low end of the gene pool in that family so there you go.

I've never owned one. I don't have a use for one. I don't deep fry anything in my house.

Just don't do enough deep frying to warrant storage of this device. In fact, I prefer simple pan frying anyway.

I'll fry things at times, but I will just stick with a large frying pan for the job rather than take out the deep fryer.

Wish I had one. Glad I don't. Anything that can make those frozen french fries from the bag any good gets a gold star. But I'm Irish and my blood vessels are genetically designed to clog up with grease so better I avoid it.
