Underrated- great for toast, baking potatoes, and frozen pizzas. . .but they tend to be cheaply made and don't last very long. . .

I can't remember the last time I used the toaster oven, but my wife likes to make toast often. It definitely gets used in our house, but no so much by myself.

We have one in addition to a toaster. It uses a lot less energy that the oven if you are cooking something small. But not essential.

Always thought this was a great cooking appliance especially if you didn't need to use the whole oven. Had one that was self-cleaning...until it almost caught the kitchen on fire. I'm sure today's models are much safer, but have not felt adventurous enough to give it another try.
