Very underrated. . .for parties, it's perfect for keeping soup or chili handy for guests while the rest of the kitchen is filled with other dishes.

My wife and I got a crock pot for a wedding gift and haven't used it yet. Its been almost a year now, and I can't imagine when we will first use it.

I can't do a decent pasta sauce without it. (yes, numbah takes sauce seriously)

believe it or not I use my crock pot pretty often. at least enough that it earns it's shelfspace. nice to use when you want to just put some kind of food and let it cook for hours. I have used it to make chili, a pot roast, chili dogs, etc. I do not make real involved recipies but it does come in handy on a day where i do not want to mess with cooking.
